A sad goodbye must be said to the Brooklyn Flea at Skylight One Hanson as Flea now moves to Greener and more watery pastures. We want to thank you for the high-BROOKLYN-style that you brought to our space. The Flea couldn’t be cooler, and we’ve appreciated being able to discover the awesome trends, beautiful antiques, and of course the delicious food that you have been bringing into Skylight One Hanson for the last year. From Anne Hathaway and her early-morning stroll, to Anna Wintour and her surprise Brooklyn visit, to Jerry Seinfeld’s lunchtime tete a tete with George Stephanopoulis, and of course all the cool “nobodies” that get it that Flea is a cultural icon, not just of Brooklyn, but around the world. Here’s a few of our favorite shout-outs:
Garance Dore – Sunday in Brooklyn: “It’s downright awesome and…absolutely sublime”

Japanese Vogue even if you can’t read it, the photographs translate perfectly.

NY Mag “Critics Pick”:The space is the perfect place to trade vintage goods, as it’s an antique in itself — a landmarked building that houses vaulted ceilings and tiled murals, as well as visual remnants of a bank, such as kiosks, teller rooms, and even a vault with three-ton doors. “It’s a really amazing space that hasn’t been open to the public for a really long time,” says Brooklyn Flea founder Eric Demby. “I think it’s one of the most beautiful and historic interior spaces in Brooklyn.”

Garance's beautiful photo
Farewell to Brooklyn Flea at Skylight One Hanson, Eric Demby–it has been a pleasure, and to all Flea-goers–enjoy springtime at Brooklyn Flea’s outdoor locations: Saturday in Fort Greene and Sundays on the Williamsburg waterfront.
Much love,
Skylight Group.
