Elegance and creativity.
Three weeks of construction. of paint. and dust. and knocking out walls and more paint and big machines.
A complete transformation of the space. THE fashion show of the season EVERY season, year after year.

Fashion producers extraordinaire KCD built a space within a space, rendering Skylight Soho completely unrecognizable, and the new venue entirely stunning. Ralph Lauren’s Fall 2011 Collection walked the runway here three times on Thursday, February 17th: 9am, 10am and again at 11am
Ralph is a crown jewel client whose creativity and elegance never ceases to amaze us. Last year, Skylight Soho had whitewashed barn floors and country living reigned supreme. This February, as the hammers, drills, and forklifts moved out, a sleek deco setting began to emerge. “I have always loved the glamour and sophistication of the 1930′s and its Art Deco and Chinoiserie influences. I see it as relevant and modern now,” Lauren said in an e-mail to The Associated Press after the show.
As you can see from the photos and video, Ralph Lauren’s ability to create the perfect setting extends well beyond his home line. It is often a challenge in events to build a backdrop that perfectly complements the true focus, whether it be clothing, food, people or product. At the end of the day, these elements are combined to create a total impression–a being greater than the sum of its parts. Ralph and KCD are masters at achieving this balance. Once again, we are awed and honored to have them.
